Smile Plasti Dip

Anyone have any insight or experience with plasti dip. I would like to know one is it worth doing a cheap customization on a mercedes as prudent as that sounds. Also I have the c43 coupe does anyone have any experience removing the rear boot lid spoiler or if its even necessary to remove this if just plasti dipping it.

I had plastidip on my old car and it started peeling off after a while. I'm going to wrap my lip, rear diffuser, and spoiler gloss black, not trying to cheap out on my 60k Benz lol

Of all of the Plasti dip threads I have read on here I have never read anyone mention to use the Plasti Dip primer, it helps the plasti dip stick to the item you are spraying. Maybe if this was used the peeling would not happen. Just a thought

I sprayed plasti Dip on a heavy steel chain but used the Plasti Dip primer first and it worked well, no peeling.

I wouldn't plasti dip if I were you, definitely takes away from that fact that you're driving a 60k+ car. The paint on these cars are amazing and if you want to change anything, you're way better off doing a wrap.

^ In my case, I needed to get rid of the silver lip/diffuser and chrome grille. It was Sunday and nobody was working so I just headed down to crappy tire for a couple of cans of dip. I'm pleased with the results and get compliments from other Benz owners, especially when I tell them how I did it. A couple of them even offered $$ to do theirs but I simply don't have time to work on other people's rides.

Gonna wrap in the near future, thinking CF for the lip and grille, gloss black for the door handles, diffuser, and pretty much anything chrome (hate chrome).

Don't be afraid of vinyl. It takes a little bit more prep time and patience, but it isn't that hard as a diy project. Everything you need to do it properly is available on Amazon.
