Hey guys.

I was on the highway and someone knocked a pylon off a construction zone and it flew in front of my car and was unavoidable.
I didn't realize that the front lip had broke until I got home.

When I went to the shop they were asking for almost $2k for repair - ~1k for parts and rest for work.

Since I'm going to be replacing the front lip anyways I was thinking of replacing the front lip with a carbon fiber one as of that shown in and save some money as well in the process:

I am wondering if some people can help me what else needs to be ordered. The area behind the lip also seems to have been scratched as shown in the attached photo.

Please help.

Really crummy, I’m sorry about that. Today, just got my own flat tire, so I’m feeling you a little (not as painful as the lip)

have you checked with your insurance though? Maybe that’s covered in some way.

This is why I'm getting a dashcam ASAP. Had a mini dump truck "off load" a wheel barrel in front of me about a week after I got the car. I was able to avoid it but the guy behind me wasn't so lucky. The best part is when the try to deny or pass blame to someone else and then you tell them you have HD video of everything.

Probably gonna wait for Black Friday deals. The one I want is 4 channel and costs $1000.

Yeah, basically 2x 2ch. systems. Bought a 2 ch. from Costco that I ended up returning, figured I'd spend the extra bucks and get 360* recording.

Crappy luck, OP. Maybe you can go after the construction company, saying the cones were too close to the live lane, causing the other vehicle to strike it.
