Brake Service
I had the front brake pads changed today on my car and I haven't been able to clear the message. When I go into the service menu and select the brake service menu, it tells me that certain conditions have not been met. How do I clear it? Any suggestions?

Hey C43stew, care to share the links to where you purchased them from? Also, what was your mileage you did your brake service? I need new rotors now as i can feel a lip on the outer part of my rotor

Kinda odd that a car would go through rear pads before the front ones but my mechanic told me that the rears were a little low and that it may be the reason the light didnt go away.

My 'check brake pad wear' display came on as well as the 'brake' display. Brought it in and, after 22k miles, the rears pads and rotors needed to be replaced. Granted, I drive the car like it was meant to be driven. If I drove it like my wife drives her car, I bet I could get another 10k miles out of them.
Anyways, I SHOULD have looked at better, aftermarket pads that last longer rather than stock and taken in somewhere else other than the stealership that could have done it for cheaper. I was also told that no MB dealership will turn stock rotors because they are already made with just the right amount of metal on them to reduce weight, cost, etc. So I had to get new rotors too. So all in all for new rear pads and rotors and labor it came out to about $600.
I'm not surprised the rears need to be replaced first on the C450/C43 since the car is 2/3 rear wheel drive.
