interior rear view mirror cover removal - help
I am trying to hardwire my Uniden R3 radar using MirrorTaps. There is obviously a power source behind the interior rear view mirror cover because the reading lights are up there. Can anyone help me with instructions of how to remove the cover? Thank you thank you thank you in advance!!!

I don't know about the mirror housing itself, but the plastic surround for the storage console is easily removed with a trim removal tool. The wiring for the mirror should be accessible from there.
I'm not a fan of wire splicing unless it's absolutely necessary.
A better option IMO, is to tap the fuse for the analog clock (driver's side dash fuse box) and route the power cord through the trim over to the mirror area. I did this with my dash cam and it produced a very clean installation.
