Carport for your C43

Hey guys! I have a stupid question.. My apartment comes with a carport and not a garage. I live in California so it's always sunny. I only drive my car on the weekends since I have a work truck that I drive. Do you guys recommending putting a car cover on it since the car is under the sun for a few hours during the day? I'm just a bit embarrassed to do it but what do you guys think? Sorry I know it's a dumb question haha.

I would. It helps protect paint and dash. if people walk by the car and brush up against it carrying something (bags) it will protect your car from scratches. Who cares what everyone else thinks you just paid a lot of money for a new car

If you have a work truck I say sell it and buy a house. Then in a year buy another one and vuala garage, problem solved. 1. Investment 2. No car cover needed.

Disclaimer: buying a house is not the only way to avoid a car cover but it’s objectively the best, and you get a house out of it. Kinda neat.

That would be easy if I didn't live in the Bay Area. Cheapest house in my area is about a million dollars. That's why all these rich tech kids are also renting cause the housing market here is no joke haha.

If you're car spends extended amounts of time in the heat and sunlight, then getting a car cover is a great idea. If the heat we're talking about is in the 100*f range then I'd say it's a must. A bit of sunlight isn't bad on it's own, it's the heat that comes with it that is the problem.

Hahaha yeah, skip the car cover bud, just buy a house. Easy enough, right? Plus I'm sure OP's wife/GF won't mind going out to a nice dinner in a dirty *** work truck with tools and other crap rattling around in the back

PS: It's spelled *voila*

San Francisco is ridiculously expensive. Let me amend my previous statement:

-live in your car and buy a nice garage. Viola (for you spelling folks out there...).

Haha but in all seriousness, a car cover is helpful and since you only drive it on the weekend it is the perfect use for what a car cover is meant for.

The passive aggressiveness would have worked better if your spelling didn't still suck

Not worried about it, just providing an opinion to a poster who had a question.
