Difference between two ECUs pretty crazy.

I installed a new ECU in my car recently and it is really amazing how much the sound characteristics of the car are different from each other. I can't make sense of it. Any of you guys know why this might happen?

Feels like this one was handmade in heaven. The car spits and splutters below 2500 rpm now even, something I never experienced before.

Nah the original one was pretty good in its own way. It had its own characteristics. This one is just crazy at low RPMs.

I had my previous whole cars that felt that way.. my 2016 C450 felt like it was put together by a kid I garden class.. it rattled, skipped gears like the clutch was slipping, had crazy wind noise, if I came to a stop then accelerated it would cut out for 2 seconds.. comand screen would flicker in and out.. speakers buzzed... I traded it in for a 2017 c43 ... like a total different beast.. no rattles or noises or any problems so far knock on wood!

And that chip on your hood... And the scuff on your seat... That car was doomed from the start. I wonder what sap ended up with their first Mercedes in your car.

First year cars can be rough. I tend to be an early adopter of new models and have noticed this quite a bit. I have had a couple back to back MY replacements (Jaguar Xtype and VW GLi). The Jag got lemoned because of AWD drivetrain issues, and the GLi got destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. In both cars, the subsequent MY drive much better. The Jag had issues, but the VW was just built better, and closer attention to detail paid.
