Everyone with the latest transmission SW update: No shift up warning in manual mode?

I got my transmission software update a month or so ago but noticed this last weekend. In manual mode, if you are in the AMG menu in the instrument cluster, the upshift warning is not showing up anymore. I confirmed this with a owner in our c43 whatsapp group who also has the transmission update and his shift up warning is not showing up either. People who did not get the update still have it.

May be they forgot to set the values in which the up shift light will show up while making the software update for the transmission? Dunno, but this is very interesting. Not a big deal, but I used depend on that upshift warning on drag races specifically. Below is the picture attached of what I am talking about.

WTF, makes me not want to get that update now lol. I like seeing that upshift. But hows the transmission feel?

Transmission feels good. Almost no hesitation anymore. Gears usually stay lower as you cruise, so fuel economy is worse but car is way more responsive. Not complaining.

I think I need this software update. i've gotten pretty good about how sensitive manual first gear is in Sport+ and I rarely get the aggressive jerkiness. When I do, it seems like my fault. I'm over that "problem"

My issue now is that I've noticed this transmission can be fooled into bad decisions. In full automatic mode and Sport+, when you are on the accelerator aggressively, but then lift off in high RPMs ... the transmission can be completely confused. The most common situation is when you're accelerating aggressively up to the speed limit and then need to lift. The car seems unsure of either keeping the gear or shifting, and hesitates before doing either. I've been with passengers when they think I manually butchered a shift.

I think I need to get the update and see if this gets sorted. Never had either problem with my BMW ZF 8 speed in Sport+

I dont understand. Not trying to bash, but what is the point of the upshift warning? You guys dont just shift based on feeling or sound? Also the Tachometer should be indication enough of when to shift right?

I agree with you, The upshift warning or the digital red line gauge is wayyy to slow to keep up with the shifts. The car shifts well before the indicator lights up.

When I am driving normally yes I shift up based on feeling. But on track, I am really concentrating on the shift point and I use the upshift warning as a reference. Plus it kinda looked cool. Its not a big deal but I was just wondering why it was not showing up for me. Turns out I am not the only one haha.

Does anyone know if the warnings is also removed from the HUD? I never look down while driving so don't mind if it's just gone from the dash.

Maybe they did it intentionally because it was intrusive to manual mode drivers?

Sport+ is made to day that. It’s made to hold that’s gear either until the car wants to downshift again, or you easily get back on the throttle with hen it will upshift
