K-Mac camber bushings NOT for me!!

I bought front K-Mac bushings for my C400 Mercedes. Had them installed on Friday and taken off on Wednesday the following week! I only waited that long because of a family emergency, I had an appointment for Monday that I had to cancel. I could not take how loud and squeaky these things are! I felt like I was driving a wooden wagon. The squekyness was even being heard by people outside as I drove by. They do adjust camber, just not quite AT ALL. I can’t say I recomend this product if your looking for something that’s is NOT loud. I’m very disappointed and out more money and wasted time! I basically paid the shop to take out my stock bushings and put them back in! NOT the product I was expecting from this company

The shop you went to did not install them properly. You should be upset with them. I've had the Kmac kit installed on the front and rear of my car and had no problems at all..

I didn’t go to just any shop. These guys build cars and have experience. They followed the directions and even called K-Mac. I would have loved for them to have worked for me. I can’t afford to trial and error this it’s an expensive procedure.

This K-MAC bush design in production for over 20 years. Long term maintenance free so certainly need to check out.

Have organised return and will report back soon as received

Thanks Kevin. Would like to hear what you find and come back to your product once things are figured out.

I'm curious to know what the issue is. I've had the KMac bushings on the front of my car for over 42,000 miles and they are still quiet and tire wear is good. I obtained 36,000 miles out my last set of front tires and could have taken them to 38,000 if I had so wanted.

Sounds like the problem here is your shop doesn't know what they're doing.

It’s a very expensive install.. that’s why you should take the issue up with the shop. Not only did they take your money but by installing them improperly unfortunately they’ve ruined your new bushings.

Anyway, Kevin should help sort things out. Good luck!

Since I’m not the installer I can’t say exactly how they were installed. When I went under he car I could see the lube between the bushings. I don’t know if additional lube was added on top of what the pre-lubed bushings came with. When under the car I could push the car up and you could hear the squeakyness instantly. I had no choice but to ask the shop to remove them. It was embarrassing driving around with a loud car.

I also would like this resolved!
