Mike's makes downpipes too. They're $600USD I believe.

Wow... that's insane. I've never seen a DP issue like that. @chynatown can't catch a break, sorry bro. But I feel more sorry for that c63 running around with Stage 4 Weistec turbos and >777rwhp... THAT'S gonna be an expensive fix if they have the same quality as their DP's...

I recently bought their dp’s And it would appear the design is different

mine look significantly more robust being a c channel design

We can get you down pipes for $650 plus shipping. I am chatting with the OP to supply him with a set.

I had a set of these. Now I'm glad I decided to sell them. From the pics above it does look like they changed things up a bit. I'm plenty satisfied with the PE and res delete. (Thanks Munis) I may reach out to Shardul for a set in the future though.

Update: I wound up purchasing Armytrix Downpipes through vivid racing since I needed a new pair right away. I am happy with them.

For the heck of it, since I was not on a time frame and I had an up and running car, I sent my cracked Weistec Downpipes to Weistec for them to have a chance to fix them and I just got them back after about 3 weeks with the new brackets/flanges. I'm going to put these up for sale since I have Armytrix brand now and have no use for them.

How much are you selling them for? Looks like they still did not update your design. Did you coat these?

Good information. They were on my short list of aftermarket DPs.

Would they not refund your money? You do realize that you're trying to sell them in a thread that has "DO NOT BUY" in the title

no they would not refund or replace, that was the whole point of the thread. Yeah I should probably change the title. But I have them listed in the marketplace anyway, I just wanted to provide an update here on this thread so people have full transparency.

From the pictures it looks like their weld weaken the metal at the weld point. It could be in the quality of the weld or the quality of the metal they are using for the dp.

I would like to know how the Armytrix dp sounds.

Armytrix downpipes sound amazing. Louder upshifts, sounds like GTR

Anybody have any experience with UltimatePD downpipes? Looking into a set for a c450 and concerned with reliability.
edit: they currently have a year end sale

How is it with just one single car when the DH at Weistec said its a "known issue"? If MB said that the C Class had a blown motor issue but you only heard one person saying it on a thread in a forum, does that still mean theres only one and you'd buy one anyway? Hmm.. Sounds like you're a "forum puppet". When the company that sells the product says its an issue, its an issue. Especially when they have "refurbished" downpipes. Who would buy something like that?! I bet you would lol

I wonder if it's just the brackets that don't take into consideration the the flexing of the engine?

Good point. That's what I was thinking. I'm no expert on the matter but I was wondering why, considering the AMG engines power, they don't use flex braided connectors by default. I see a lot of DIYers do it to satisfaction.. Similar to these.
