For those worried about drone, you can always add in a small Magnaflow resonator like this:
Or you can get fancy and weld in a Helmholtz style resonator (picture below). Either way you can eliminate low end drone and will see no loss in performance. With resonators, placement is really important depending on what kind you use, some need to be close to downpipes/headers and others need to be close to the muffler (if you have one).

No performance mufflers just used the stock ones. I am looking for C63 or E63 mufflers. I had a set of W212 2015 E63 mufflers but sold them awhile back

I can't wait to hear your thoughts after the downpipes. Are you getting a high flow cats or going catless? If the latter what's your thoughts on the smell?

I'm so glad I came across your post as I want to do the same with my C450. Questions. Why did you choose to go with the X and not the H pipe like amg performance exhaust? Do you have any videos/sound clips of what your car sounds like now?!
