C43 wheels stolen in encino California
Yesterday afternoon, I went down to my apartment garage to see my car on three cinder blocks. 🤬 I am just sad and heart broken that some one or people damaged my car and left me with a nice bill. This is just a warning to folks in the area to put on wheel locks and have install a dash cam with parking view. My apartment has many cameras through the complex and garage so I known we’ll eventually catch the thieves.

Encino isn't too far from me. Dude that sucks. I'll keep a look out to see if the rims are being re-sold anywhere. Now, I gotta get wheel locks...
Also, could be someone in your building...

Wow! Sorry to see that and what you’re going through. I’m in the valley as well and I can only hope I don’t catch them in the act, when I go down to smoke a cigarette in my garage.

Could be worse. The arseholes could have removed the bricks holding the car up and really fcuuked up the car.
Thank goodness I have a dashcam. Mind you Im hoping its more of a deterrent, as I would rather not have to endure seeing someone break into my car or steal my **** or for that matter steal my dashcam.

I have the same rims, does anyone know how much they cost new?

Thanks guys! I'm still bummed. My passenger side skirt is damaged from where they placed the cinder block. I just hope that there is no frame damage.
State farm has been excellent so far in processing my claim and I hope to get the replacement wheels by mid week.
For those asking, I am going with two sets of wheel locks. Most likely OEM. My car had wheel locks installed and they were still able to steal the wheels. I'm also considering those big yellow wheel clamps like the ones they put on cars with moving violations. I just got a dash cam with parking mode to record any motion or impacts.

They were 1300 retail a wheel which is insane since these wheels aren't forged. I've seen them as low as 900 per wheel. With that said, lock up your wheels!

I got the Vantrue t2 which just plugs into the ODB2 port. It saves me the hassle of hard wiring it but it isn't a 2 channel camera. Most radio stores will hard wire a dashcam for ~100. It's literally two wires; one constant power source and one power source that turns on with the ignition.

I believe it's most likely a technician at Encino Mercedes. I live very close to there and just happened to have taken my car in to service a couple of months ago to get the tires installed. SMH... can't even trust dealers anymore

Owner needs to set up a hidden camera next time. As imo its going to happen again.

Really? How about the car or truck that HAD to be there to load those wheels? Someone didn't exactly put those wheels in their back pocket and walk away...DUH. license plates!!!

Well, they gotta be rookies to not use dealerplates or hide their faces. These guys are clearly pro. He had wheel locks, they managed to still steal the wheels, and they did it in an underground parking at night. Sounds like he was targeted and it was planned. But ofcourse, Front & rear camera would be ideal for more than just getting wheels stolen.

I live in SoCal and have LE experience in this area (trust me), This was a set up and called in from someone that knows you and where you live. Don't think it might not happen again. The best you can be (as we use to say in this business.."be a good witness') is to set up cameras and figure out how they got in, etc., They are only wheels, insurance will take care of it. Yes, it sucks, but don't let your emotions get the best of you.
