The color I got was selenite grey metallic but I do take care of a few nice black cars(I detail all my families cars, which includes a gle43 ). If I were just to do the full exterior, it may take about 4 hours if I move quick. 7 or 8 to do interior as well.

I know i'm kinda hijacking this but I suggest and use carpro cquartz uk 3.0, 2 coats, which gets a nice deep color on the paint. I finish it with a third coat of carpro gliss.
(They are super easy to apply)

Dont ever let anyone tell you otherwise. You post whatever you want, whenever you want in relation to the C43. The more that poster the better.

I use this for Ferrari leather, seems fine to me, but I don't have experience with meguiars leather cleaner(But you can't go wrong with meguiars in my opinion)...

Had a peek on Amazon and a lot of posters highly recommend Meguiars as well as the one you posted.

Might stick to Meguiars seeing that the local auto shop has it in stock.

Do you enjoy cleaning? Do you get satisfaction from cleaning your car?

I say this as I do. Mind you its a lot easier to maintain a new car and to regularly clean it, then to do it every few months or so.

One thing I have learnt which I am going to do now in moderation, is less opening of the windows and sunroof. A lot of dust and dirt (not a lot but enough to be noticeable) gets through and also the new car smell tends to dissipate the more I keep things open.

I definitely do enjoy cleaning my car. It's kind of therapy for me. I try to do a full detail including decontamination, polish, and sealant every few months, but i do a regular wash every two weeks or so. Thanks for the reminder. I need to order some new pads for the rotary.

BTW, I know I mentioned it in a post about floor mats, but 303 Aerospace Protectant is one of the most versatile detailing products I have in the garage. It is a non-greasy dressing and protectant for all things rubber, plastic and vinyl. It really restores the look of exterior trim, wheel wells, interior, dashboard, etc. I even use it for tires when I want a dark matte look.

I really enjoy cleaning cars, I even started a small mobile detailing business with a high school friend, but stopped shortly after b/c of the winter. We both are interested in cars so we both go around and have some fun! Perfect "Job" when you're in high school.

I have the following:

FYI My car has Ceramic Pro on it.

1) Sunjoe SPX 3000 Pressure washer
2) From MTM's website. This one comes with the 1.1mm orifice, which you need for getting thick foam using Sunjoe. Replace the 1.25mm with 1.1mm.

3) Quick disconnects for making things easy

4) Ordered from Obsessed Garage ( Comes with the Quick disconnects for attaching it to Sunjoe Hose really quick)

5) Adam's Car Shampoo- Simply amazing this one. Just get the normal one and fill the bottle 1/4 way, mix the rest with warm water.

I tried out the Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner and Conditioner this Spring and have been very happy. I don't have to use it too often on the C43, but it's worked great on my wife's Land Rover. There ends up to be a lot of makeup and lotion transfer on the "high touch" spots of the interior (steering wheel, shift knob, radio, armrests) and a white coating builds up. The cleaner and a fine detail brush does a great job of cleaning and pulling up the gunk, while also opening up the pores of the leather for the conditioning step. I apply the conditioning cream by gloved hand and massage it in to the steering wheel and leather contact points, let rest and absorb a few minutes, then wipe any excess away with an MF towel.

I've mentioned it before, but the AMMO NYC YouTube page is a great resource for detailing techniques and tools. No need to buy his brand of stuff, but the principles are all solid.

Here are the products that I like to use currently:

1. Polisher - Rupes LHR15 Mk2; Adams Swirl Mini
2. Pads - B&S, Lake Country, Griots Boss
3. Compound - Griots FCC (I really try not to use it)
4. Polish - Sonax PF, Rupes Keramik, Jescar
5. AIO - HD Speed (non-coated cars)
6. Ceramic coating - Gyeon Mohs (2 layers) and Gyeon CanCoat
7. Iron/Tar Decon - OPT Ferrex
8. Synthetic Clay - Nanoskin
9. Wheels - OPT Powerclean (tires and interior too) and Meguiars Utlimate Allwheel if really dirty (less than $8 at PepBoys w/ code and store pickup)
10. Maintenance spray on coating/sealant - McKees SiO2 HydroBlue - spray on wheels and pain and then spray with water and dry)
11. Gyeon Cure and Gyeon Cancoat as maintenance for the coating
12. The Rag Company for microfiber
13. Waterless wash - no, but I'll have a bottle of N914 or UWW for bird-bombs and insects and window cleaning
14. Rinseless wash - McKees N914 (coated cars) and Ultima WW (non-coated cars)
15. Spray on synthetic wax (non-coated cars) - Meguiars Express Spray Wax D156
16. Interior - Ultima WW or N914 followed up by Meguiars D156 (express spray wax)

I have the MTM foamer and a sunjoe for the summer. And the grit guad/bucket system. But I prefer coin-op spray followed by rinseless wash tbh b/c it's a time saver.

How is applying the new cquartz uk 3.0? [Edit - I see that you noted they are easy to apply. Does it flash instantly or do you have some time to remove before high spots form?] I haven't used a carpro coating in awhile. Lately, I've been using gyeon mohs and cancoat for my cars. And I love the combo. But I was thinking of also trying out the Kamikaze, Viking or Carpro coatings next.
