C43 AMG would you keep it after 3 year lease

Hi Everyone,

I am hoping I'm not asking a question which has been asked before but here goes. I have a 2017 C43 AMG and even though I am 2 years into the lease I am wondering if it is a good idea to keep it after the lease and save a few bucks or return it after the 3 years are done and look for something else. I know that few people have complained about transmission problems, I have felt the jerking transmission when I step on the gas but it has not been overwhelming where I feel like I need to take it in to the dealer. My car is definitely within the allowed mileage and in perfect shape and I like the car but I am concerned of the reliability of the vehicle as it gets close to 5 years. So what would you do, would you take it back or would you purchase it after the lease.

Just get extended warranty if you plan on keeping it for more than 4 years. Your question is more personal. DO YOU want to keep the car? If you like it & don't care for upgrading then go for it, but like i said extended warranty

In most states, you will have to pay taxes again, not to mention buying your lease out is typically more expensive. Mercedes wants you to lease again, so they make leasing another car look more financially attractive than buying out your lease. I would recommend leaving your options open, go into the dealership 3 months befor your lease end. Negotiate on a new car and whatever other brands you shop. You can also negotiate the buyout price of your lease. Mercedes typically has several thousand dollars between the price they offer you for lease buyout and their cost.
