I would not expect huge gains or any gains at all with a stock airbox.

The only way changing a filter can make more power is if that filter lets more air through (bigger) or if it lets air through quicker (same size but thinner filter). You need to realize that the purpose of the filter is to block particles from entering your engine. These particles do not combust and the coarseness is harmful to the engine. Therefore if a filter allows your car to make more power it is almost certainly thinner and less protective than the stock filter and therefore is allowing more harmful particles into your engine.

Also you should not expect much hp gain if any at all since the airbox you are using is still the same size as it was stock and in the same position. Not much will change.

Is there any chance that the oil that is put into the K&N filter will seep into the injectors and clog them up?
