Did you wait til 10k miles to get your first service done?
The dealership probably checks over more things, and perhaps more thoroughly, but it really is mainly an oil and filter change.
I might do my Service B at a dealership, don't want to but since it would be my first one I may do so to have them check over any new car problems. I will also get a better checklist of things to go over so I may learn to do this stuff myself.
The only real differences I see with service B are that they also change cabin filters and brake fluid. Easy DIY stuff that will save BIG bucks.
If anyone else has any comments about my opinion please let me know. I find most of these tasks for basic service intervals to be very intuitive and that any car enthusiast should be able to perform themselves.
