2017 Mercedes AMG C43 Coupe

Alcantara Steering Wheel Premature Wear

Has anyone else had issues with the alcantara on their AMG performance steering wheel going flat after a month or so? Mine got all compacted down and I can't seem to clean it and get it like how it originally was no matter how much I brush the alacantara. Does anyone else have issues like this or have a solution? (Yes my hands are always clean when I drive and I never wear lotion or anything either).

There is also a YouTube video done by remove before race on how to clean it also.

I don't have that steering-wheel but I have had good luck with sonux on other things

I've used Sonax alcantara cleaner with great results on my old vehicles alcantara seats, cleaned them right up!

the good news , is once they look like this, it will stay like this for a long period of time without much change, so if you are afraid that it looks like this after one month, what will happen after few years , don't worry.
but over all i am not a fan of alacantara
