Majority of the problems are with people on the 19" rim. I'm actually heading to the tire shop to get a cracked rim that was welded replaced because the lease is up in December.

As the tow truck drivers have told me during my experience with the W205, "You have rubber bands on, that's why the potholes/sunk in sewage covers keep cracking the rims."

Thanks for making me feel better about this

I’ve got a 2017 C43 sedan on 19” wheels (the 10 multi spoke in metallic gray/silver color). Gone through 3 wheels and just had my 4th happen. Of those only one was from a “real” pot hole. The others were likely from hard packed snow or ice.

Was blaming myself, but this thread made me feel much better.

Obvious mfg weakness and I noticed they discontinued making sets of these wheel types. I’m gonna look into an after market set. Should’ve done that years ago…

Do point out majority of AMG cracked rims is the inner due to excess negative Camber (and no longer “factory adjustment” to spread load more evenly) !

Result is not only costly premature “inner edge wear” but also subject to higher impact, ruptured inner tire walls then leading to subsequent rim damage.

Deletion of OEM Camber (and Caster) adjustment has been brought about through the “ever increasing speed” of new car assembly lines. It is new car industry's best kept secret.

The often quoted reassuring “Will carry out a Full Front & Rear ‘4’ Wheel Alignment” is now only basic TOE - directional adjustment !

NO LONGER CAN TIRE CONTACT ANGLES BE ADJUSTED TO SPREAD LOAD MORE EVENLY.

We saw the need to reinstate "ongoing adjustment" - to fix it right the 1st. time. Bolt-on Front and Rear kits

K-MAC FRONT KIT - ALL C220 to 450 / C43 4MATIC

CAMBER #503416-1i $345 (BOTH SIDES)
Less cost then one hi-performance tire.

CAMBER (& CASTER) #503416K $480 (BOTH SIDES)

Kits require no special tools to fit or need for arm removal.

Ultimate adjustment - single wrench direct on alignment rack UNDER LOAD !

REAR KIT CAMBER (& EXTRA TOE to compensate)

#502226K $480 (BOTH SIDES)
All the same features as front.

$40 DHL Express Air delivery worldwide ($60 Front & Rear)
