2019 C43 Sport Exhaust vs Performance Exhaust
Hey all, looking at potentially trading in my 2014 Audi S5 Coupe for a 2019 C43 Sedan. I test drove a Lunar Blue one last weekend. I had a question regarding the exhaust system. This car had a loud exhaust system that could be turned louder with a push of a button in the center console. The window sticker didn't say anything about any exhaust option on the car. However, when I go build the car on MBUSA.com, it says the car comes standard with the Sport Exhaust and there is an option for a $1250 AMG Peformance exhaust. My question is, the exhaust on the C43 I drove was very loud and sounded like a performance exhaust. I'm wondering if the car has just a standard sport exhaust or the performance exhaust system and the dealer forget to list it on the the options list. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for any and all help!

If the car has the PE button (Button below the volume knob) then it 100% has the Performance Exhaust.
Not sure why it wouldn't be on the window sticker

I just got into a 2019 C43 (Lunar Blue) from a 2016 S5. How's that for coincidence?
I opted for the performance exhaust. When in "normal" mode it's already pretty substantially louder than was the exhaust on my S5. It's easy for me to understand how you might think the car had the performance exhaust. Putting it into "wake the neighbors" mode kicks it up substantially.
On the build sheet, the performance exhaust is listed as "U78 AMG Performance Exhaust System."

Ah ok yea this had the button. But here is the link to the car. You will see picture #20 has the button in the console. It's weird that they dont list it under features.

That's awesome! How do you like the car? How is the build quality of the car compared to the S5? Typically I have seen people praise Audis for their build quality but I've had my fair share of rattles and creaks in my S5.

Ah yes you are correct! Thanks for your help. I do know this car does not have the full command nab system. Is the garmin nav any good? Does anyone have that one?

I have a 2019 C43 Sedan with the MB SD card nav, only thing to remember is you need the card which comes from the dealer parts Dept, it's $650 so try to work it into the deal. It does everything the Multimedia nav does and in my opinion better. I love the Live Traffic and on the new wide screen shows more. Save a bunch of money over the fancy multimedia option.

Honestly, I probably would have gotten another S5 if Audi hadn’t ruined it. Yanking the supercharger for the single turbo was a mistake, as was downgrading the transmission. They claim it’s more powerful now but it sure doesn’t feel like it. The new S5 drives like it weighs 1500 lbs more the the prior gen.
But I’m glad I made the transition. As much as I loved the 2016, the AMG is really putting a smile on face.

Yea agreed. The new S5 just dont like right from the front. And the 8 speed generic ZF auto they put in there with the turbo instead of a supercharger have taken the 2 reasons away, that I bought my 2014 S5 for. Such a shame cose I love Audis, but I really havent cared for the new A6,A7 either with the full touch screen instead of the MMI. Anyway, maybe ill be driving the C43 soon!

Yes and No. The rear back up camera is standard as required by Fed law. No back up sensors though. There are 2 places in the lower rear valance that appear to be sensors but the is where they mount them if you get the parking package. There are aftermarket sensors available that you could pop into those locations but with the camera I'm not sure why you'd need them. On the factory parking package they are also on the front and all four corners of the car. The 360 surround vision is very cool and I wish I had it but took the one with everything else except that to get as close to what I wanted. I did mount a camera on the front because I sure don't want to tear up the lower front spoiler on a curb stop or curb.
