C450 Brake pad replacement

Hey everyone, I have a 2016 C450 that I plan to replace the brake pads on this week. The dealer is running a $99 off special for the service. I'm going to call on tomorrow to get an estimate for the service but was wondering what I should expect to pay when all is said and done. I could buy OEM pads for about $80-90 on FCP Euro, but it may void the promotion they are running.

Hey Biff you drive an MB and dealers will not put on any parts not supplied by them!

Take Plutoe's input with a grain of salt - not all dealers are created equal. Have you spoken with your dealer yet? Ask them about supplying your own pads. I would also recommend checking with an independent, non-dealer service center. I'm willing to bet your dealer will tell you that a complete new brake job (all 4 rotors plus pads) is needed and will quote you $1300+. How's that $99 off sound now? Ask them to do only the pads and I bet that promotion is no longer eligible as there's usually a minimum cost obligation to get the promo in the first place. Again, not all dealers are created equal and they might take good care of you, but my bet's against it.

Are you mechanically capable? Putting in new pads is a relatively easy DIY if you're up for the task.
