JB4 VS Mercedes benz ME they will see it ?
JB4 VS Mercedes benz ME they will see it ?
anyone is knowing any information concerning installation of a JB4 vs the new MB Me system ,ont the previous c43 (2017) they was not able to see it as soon you was not visiting the dealer with the system install on the car, with the new ME system with the realtime monitoring i am not sure how it work is there is a way to shut Off the car sending datas to mercredes ? for exemple if your are going at the track and you don't want to let them know how fast you are rolling and how long .... , honestly i dont want to have an issues if i need to claim the warranty at the dealership, someone at my dealer said to me Mercedes canada send internal notice to all dealers relate if a dealer concession is discovering : mapping,flash or any modification on cars they have to report it and the warranty could be canceled

No trace is left behind if properly installed and removed, but that said you should also pay for any damage you cause operating your vehicle in excess of the factory specifications. That said we've found the platform to be very reliable at map1 and map2 power levels.

Unless the piggyback catch and modifies EVERYTHING going back into the ECU, it won’t take the dealer much effort to realize that the engine has been operating outside it’s normal operating limits. The dealer might not care, but Warranty issues are handled by MB corporate, not the dealerships, and they will not pay unless they have to.
And, your warranty comes with conditions and one of those conditions surely will be that any modification done to the engine and drivetrain will void warranty. There are people who will claim that MB will have to prove that the tune is the reason for failure in order to void warranty... but they obviously haven’t read their warranty conditions.
So if you appreciate your warranty, don’t risk it, just enjoy the car in it’s stock trim.
