C43 Cabriolet Wheel and Tire Issues... Spare Options?
Good Evening All,
I'm posting in search of solutions to my incessant problems with multi-spoke AMG rims and OEM extended mobility tires. I have cracked 3 rims in normal highway driving and have gotten 5 flat tires. I drive out of the city often, and am often out of a 50 mile range to the nearest dealership/tire center. I'm at the point of switching to a more reliable tire (non extended mobility), probably michelin pilot sport 4s, for the increased sidewall resistance and improved ride. Prior to the switch, though, I'm wondering 2 things-

- Are there any donut or space saver spares that might fit on a c43 cabriolet?
- Has anyone purchased an OEM spare through a parts dept? If so, part numbers would be greatly appreciated.

Hoping someone has a solution to this... I have a cracked wheel every couple of months, and it's getting maddening. While the insurance covers the cost of replacing, it doesn't cover the cost of Ubering all around for days or weeks.
Need a reliable spare to put in my garage and place when needed... front tire 18".

I know there are others on the forum that have good luck with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and similar, I plan on going this route whenever the time comes to replace my runflats. Not sure about the donut though.
don't think a donut is going to fit over the brakes
i mean - i had all the same issues - went with an aftermarket flow formed wheel and have put on a conventional tire and ran 50000 miles without a single hiccup - or oddly worn tire from alignment
