C43 Fuel Pump
Got the same problem yesterday. I’m not tunned. Any updates on your car? It was a hiccup or something else?
I know several cars running them. First cars had a few bugs to work out. Martin Tuning was great and kept close contact with all of them. A few of the cars are now running full e 85 or close to it and are currently dialing in the tune!
My personal vehicle is running low 9 second 60-130 on e30 tune with this pump!

Martin tuning is working with Eurocharged to perfect the tuning. You can buy all the parts directly from Martin Tuning. That is what many have done so far.

most Hpfp kits for modern amg’s have you drill out the inlet port of the oem fuel rail’s to about 2mm. From the factory the opening is only about 1mm and is restrictive
So is this a legit upgrade over the stock M276? Do we know what the gain is over the m276 one? I was considering the Spool FX-170, but I feel it might be overkill (which isn’t bad) for just wanting to keep it on UK95 octane. Has anyone drilled/milled out their stock fuel rails like ctravis595 mentioned? If so, then I’m going to scroll ebay to find some rails!
I was watching this video (that’s in German):
He’s using a HPFP from a Supra (from what I could vaguely understand since I don’t speak German). Hmmm…I’m going to start googling it a bit more to see compatibility.

This is just me thinking out loud and hoping someone will chime in to help (or let me know why it wouldn’t work).

the only option is aftermarket ones?? Unreasonably expensive !?

regarding the Supra fuel pump, the video is very difficult to understand. Most high pressure pumps run off of two wires, usually a constant or switched ground, and the other wire being either constant, or switched 12v. Ordering a suitable pigtail and splicing the Supra pump into the engine harness should be the easy part
regarding the angle of the fuel fittings, I do not believe it is a requirement that hard steel lines are used for the fuel lines. Perhaps a hptfe or whatever, flexible/soft high pressure fuel line will allow enough flex in the line to utilize pumps with different angles of fittings
and if the Supra pump is close to fitting, in theory this could open up our options to aftermarket Supra pumps as well
regarding the fuel line fitting. Mercedes will probably use something like a 40 degree flared globeseal type fitting. A competent hydraulic shop, in theory, may be able to fabricate custom hard lines if needed

Stock Fuel HPFPs on M278 and M157 are identical (2016 S550 and S63 cross reference the same parts). They have two, that's why (if you'd like to turn the conrods of your M278 into ticking time bombs) they don't need fuel pump upgrades to reach M157 levels of power with just a tune.
