M276 Dela 30- Turbo specs for Pre and Post FL.

Does anyone have the detailed turbo specs for this engine in both Pre and Post FL forms?
Manufacturer, compressor & turbine diameter etc?
Thanks.

I had read somewhere that the turbos were the same. Just that the facelift puts out 13lbs of boost instead of 11 that the early cars produce. I also heard the plumbing on the facelift is a little more efficient. Hence more power.

Hi I'm more interested in the actual turbo specs as above and not so much if there are any differences.

Right, you can reach out to Weistec. Seems like they’ll know.

2018 Mercedes C43 AMG Coupe
Was Weistec comparing the C43 to the C400/450 or pre-facelift vs facelift? Sounded like the former... Anyways, I too am interested in actual specs for PFL.

i would say with 99% certainty that the FL and PFL turbos are the exact same.

how much seat time do you have in a FL - power delivery feels way different.

i would be surprised if they weren't different - however minor the change may be.

With the recent development of Daimler pursuing electrified systems and the news that the A45s and CLA45s engine will be put into the W206 C43, it would make sense that they stopped development of the current C43 (in terms of hardware) and is most likely just increasing boost in the engine mapping. Hard to say with so many rumours and speculation floating around.

I used to believe the same thing. But my friend said ARC Jeff (jb4 chatroom Jeff) said he compared the 400/450 43 pre and post facelifts. He said there are minor differences betwee each. Even between 400 and 43 pre facelift.

But yea it would seem that most of the gains are through increased boost.

Sorry everyone is misunderstanding the post.
I want to know the actual spec of the turbos for both models- not so much if there is any difference.
Turbo manufacturer
Compressor diameter
Turbine- diameter
Wastegate type.

I would suggest reaching out to Weistec, since they have the hands-on experience, they may have specs for the pre and post facelift turbos.

IHI is the manufacturer for both turbos (pre and post FL) and you may try contacting them. They would have all the spec info you are looking for.

As far as this continued debate about the pre and post FL turbos being different...I don't know why this is still a question for some. Weisec has said the 2019+ turbos are large than what was in previous cars "especially the 400 and 450." That seems to pretty clearly be saying that 400 < pre-facelift C43/450 < FL C43. Is the factory tuning the biggest factor in the power increase for 2019+? Clearly it is. But that doesn't change the fact that the 2019+ just has bigger turbos, however minor the actual physical change may be. Remember too, that even slight changes to housings and wheels can change volumetric efficiency in measurable ways.
