Incorrect Badging

I picked up my factory order 2020 C43 Wagon. The car looks great and drives great. Very happy so far. My only question is that it says 4matic on the rear passenger side and not C43. I know the C300 cars have 4matic there. Is this a factory screw up? Or is this common with anyone else? Thanks!

So AMG on the rear driver side and 4matic on the rear passenger side?

My 4 door is a 4matic and the only place you see the 4matic is on the bi-turbo side badge.

Yes, mine is a C43 but where the C43 emblem is shown on that picture it says 4matic. I think this is a factory screw up, but wanted to be sure.

For sure a screw up if it doesn't even have the model on there.

searching for a c43 sedan
I've been car shopping a c450 and c43, and the badging is on either side, sometimes no AMG badging. So it kind of throws you off, but for the most part the cars are what they are (not a c300 badged with c450/c43 emblems).

I think this thread needs a picture. I know I for one would like to see this mis-badging.

Just de-badge it, it'll look better anyway.

I’d bet that both our cars were very close to each other on the assembly line. Other than that the car is awesome.

Yes, i love the car! Did a little road trip to Niagara Falls last weekend and it was amazing. got a good gas mileage also (was very gentle though).

One thing i noticed is that wheel wells have a service door to access the headlight. This service door has a bad fitment (on both sides) and there are some holes around it. This means that water and slush make their way into the engine compartment. I wonder if this is the way it supposed to be (doubt it), or something is messed up on my car. I have to figure out how to stop salty slush getting in! Thinking about bringing it in...

Let me know what you find out. We don’t have any snow at the moment and doesn’t look like it for the next week at least.

@Strat89 that's definitely an error in the badging! I picked up mine today and it's got the AMG on the left and C43 on the right, that's the way it's supposed to be for the C-class AMG models. The non-AMG's are supposed to have the model on the left and the 4matic badge on the right!

Get the dealership to fix that for you!

How does it leave the factory like that? I honestly can't comprehend that

It seems that Mercedes struggle with correctly badging their cars.

The one in the OP's thread seems to be a little more subtle. Buddy in the other thread didn't see this when he picked up his car and just decided to post online for the lol's?
