Is this part of this display supposed to display some kind of status or warning? Regardless of Mode or temperatures it seems to remain unlit. Looks like it might have to do with exhaust or rear diff or even brakes. What can this tell us?

Engine oil temperature....the one at the 6 position is transmission...neither is a 'warning', but just the current temperatures which are good to be aware of to ensure you're not on the power until things are warm.
