Pre-facelift 2018 vs 2019 exhaust sound comparison video
Hey folks!
This if often discussed here so I thought it might be helpful for some to share this video I made with the 2019 c43 and the 2018 model. It's a direct drive sound comparison.
Considering they had to adjust the setup for the new EU regulations the exhaust still sounds great. You will hear though theres still a difference between the two.

Guess I'll keep my C43 longer than any of the cars I've owned. In Norway we've got 5-year/100.000 km warranty, but it will be exciting to see if there will be any big costs after the warranty runs out.
I have driven both the E43 and the "new" E53, both without performance exhaust (which you can only get on the E53). None of them had especially high or interesting sound, but it was clear to me that the E53 has much more "fake" engine sound (through the speakers). I was disappointed. The engines are not the same, but anyway it's sad that many of the new cars have fake sound inside.
