C63 Muffler Fitting on C43
I was wondering if anyone knows if the C63 rear mufflers mounts are the same as on the C43? I know he mid-pipe section will not work as the driveline and tranny among other things don't make it a clean fit.
Basically, I would like to use an aftermarket muffler for the C63 on the C43. They're the cheapest options I can find that have true valved dual pathways (many of the C43 are valved but literally just valve the pipe, there's no alternate route).
My plan would be to get something like the AWE SwitchPath for the C63, an H-pipe which I will have custom made, hook it all up. I believe he biggest issue with all aftermarket C43 exhausts is that they are x piped. You'll get a very slight performance increase but you also get that higher-pitched tone that on a V6 to me sounds like a rice rocket.
The two possible downsides I see of this is how the increased exhaust diameter may affect performance, and whether the mufflers would still cancel out drone given that they're tuned to the V8 tone.

I have a weird hybrid exhaust as well. I have the AMG sport exhaust (not the performance exhaust with the "H" pipe) that have Armytrix rear Y section and the dual rear box mufflers with the valve control.
my tone is deeper than the full artrix exhaust which sounds "tin-y" and has too much buzz for my liking.
