Petition for MB to sell the C43 Wagon in the US

I did not start this, but would absolutely love a C43 Wagon. I really wish MB would sell it here!

It's good to hope. But as the model is right near the end of its lifespan, let's be real it's not gonna happen.
Could not buy one from Canada and convert the speedo/ recode it ?

C450, GLC43
US will never get one. If we had that option I probably would bought a wagon instead of the GLC. Although, as far as build quality goes, my GLC beat the C classes I've driven and I'm very happy with it.

A wagon with the same airmatic setup as the GLC43 would be pretty badass. The older C450/C43 suspension setups for the coupe and sedan were hot garbage. They were overly stiff and they cause the rear to skip over minor road imperfections. I can't trust the limit of grip on my sedan the same way I can in my GLC.

Won't happen. US EPA requires you certify every drivetrain and every body style. This killed the manuals in many cars, and limited it in others. Benz just gave up. Now, they'd have to certify the Sedan, the Coupe, AND the Wagon/Estate/Shooting Brake. They won't bother because Americans don't buy wagons, we buy SUV, and the euro Wagon buyer is our GLC buyer.

Worse, EPA will certify trucks differently, and the GLC is a truck, so it won't hit CAFE as much as a car.

No Wagon for the US. It's not just a Benz thing...

MB/AMG sells the E450 and E63S wagon in the USA and Audi just brought the RS6 to the USA for the very first time. There seems to be a market in the E Class segment where the profit margins are higher so the cost of certification doesn't outweigh potential profits, but wagons at the C Class level do not sell enough in the USA. Audi is using the RS6 as a proving ground and they have said if it sells well, they might consider bringing the RS4 over. No plans on bringing over the S4 or A4 wagons. Just like AMGs, the Audi RS models have much bigger margins. If Audi has some success with this and they bring over the RS4 and it sells well, then AMG might bring over the C63 wagon, but I would say the chance for the C43 wagon are slim to none. Not enough profit there.

They will never sell it in the US, cause everybody in the US buys SUVs.
