C450 AMG service "A" or "B"

So I bought a MBUSA certified C450 AMG last year when the car was just a click over 20,000 miles. They had the laundry list of items done to it - including new brakes and new tires.

I've recently crossed the 30,000 mile point and I'm getting a dash alert saying that the car is now due for the "B" service.

Is this the normal course for a "B" service to be done 10,000 miles after a full maintenance was performed on it when it was sold certified? I figured an A service would be standard at this point.

If you done A year ago, B comes this year. Next year will be A and so on. Have look at the manual, only thing glorified oil change have on B service is changing out the brake fluid.

Thats what I'm wondering. I've not done any service and the first 10,000 mile service since I bought it is due. I'm going to assume that since everything was swapped out / cleaned out at 20,000 miles when the car was reconditioned for resale, that the A service would be appropriate.

If the brakes were done at 20k miles you don't need the fluid flush. I think the fluid flush is a waste anyway. If you drive this car hard it will eat it's brakes every 20-30,000 miles anyway so it should just be flushed whenever brake hardware is replaced.

I'd be surprised if the dealer did it as part of the certification process (although it's certainly possible since it was due at whenever the first B service was anyway) It's not something they typically would do with a pad and/or rotor change, but something MB includes in the service recommendation (much more frequently than most manufacturers). I don't disagree that doing it at a pad change might be the way to go, just saying that's probably not how the dealer does it.

The car is probably just alternating between A and B Service. It may not need a B Service if all of that was done at 20k. It's just what is "due" according to the onboard computer. As noted, it's not a huge difference at 30k in work done.
