C43 service reset
C43 service reset
I have a 19 c43. Digital dash. I had the oil change and service done before the light came on. Apparently it didn’t reset. Now it says service due in days. I go into service. Then assist. But I don’t have any messages on too line. But. I’m just says service due in assyst. How do I reset? Do I have the wait the 29 days to get into that service menu? Or do I need to try my foxwell scanner and try to do it that way? Any help ideas for those with the newer dashboards?
My scanner saw the service but would not reset it. It needs an update. I friend of mine will update it for me. Don’t get why I can’t reset. Unless you can only manually reset yourself within a certain period of days or after.

I had this problem with my 2019 C63S. Turned out it needed a software update for the engine management. Something was borked. After the dealership updated the software it properly reset.
Here are the steps for the 2019+ C-class to reset the service monitor:
1. Sit in you car and close your doors
2. Move to the screen that shows your odometer mileage on the center display/dash
3. Ignition in position 1 (press start button, but don't step on the brake. Do not start the car)
4. Press the "Back" button (left side of steering wheel) for 1 sec (keep pressing) then press touch pad on the left side of the wheel
5. "Vehicle Data" screen is now displayed. At the bottom of the list you should see "Assyst Plus"
6. Select "Assyst Plus" (use left touch pad) and it will take you to the next screen
7. Press the ignition switch, foot off the brake, to go to ignition position 2
8. Select "Full Service" (just press touch pad again)
9. Select "Confirm"
10. Select "Oil Grade" (this should be on your service ticket as 229.5 or 229.6, or on the bottle if you did the service yourself)
11. Select "Service Carried Out" (Yes)
12.Select "Confirm"
13. Shutdown your Car, open and close a door and restart your car. The service warning should disappear, and it should reset the date & mileage for your next service in the display
