Hi everyone,

I have the 2020 C43. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the interior motion sensor off permanently? I often run errands with my dog and leave her in the car for a few minutes and every time I need to go into car settings to uncheck the interior motion sensor. Then i restart the car to go to the next stop, and will have to go into settings and uncheck it again.

Nope, every time the car is restarted it resets to the default MB setting. For example the auto start stop function.

I asked my MB shop the same thing for my 2017 C43 - "Can you code the motion sensor to be OFF by default"?
The answer was unfortunately negative - It's not possible
Maybe someone with MB coding knowledge can confirm this?

My problem is that the alarm is activated by the internal heater I use in winter here in the cold north.
(I imagine that won't be an issue in LA :-)

My best solution to this was to add the motion sensor setting to the first place in the favourites menu in the infotainment system.
You then have only two clicks to turn the sensor off.

Yes it doesn't look like there is a way to turn it off or disable it permanently.

Add the motion sensor setting to the favorites menu is an excellent advice. I will do that.

We have a 2022 GSL found in instruction book that if you lock unlock and re-lock it cuts off the motion sensor we also had the same problem leaving our dog in the car when going in and paying for gas.

How about physically disabling the sensor with tape or foil,? Where is it?
