Wheel squeaking while driving
So lately I had to take off my rear driver rotor to get it re surfaced. A couple days after that I hear a squeaking noise when I drive. I took my wheel and brake pads off yesterday and there are no grooves in the rotor but my pads were looking a little funky. Anyone think replacing these pads will fix my squeak?

I changed brake pads and still get the noise. Assuming they meet minimum thickness or else Napa probably would have tried to sell me a new rotor. But I guess I’m just gonna buy new rotors and hopefully that solves my issue

Does it only squeak when you brake or when you pull away from stopping ? If it’s when slowly stopping and initially from pulling away it’s likely the slide pins in caliper. Mine did this forever , the dealer couldn’t find anything wrong. I swapped out my own rear pads, and greased up the slide pins properly and voila noise was gone and has been ever since. Hope this helps.

It’s like whenever the wheel rotates you hear is start squeaking and it seems like when I apply the brakes the noise goes away. Or maybe it’s just quieter and I don’t notice it. My friend is trying to tell me it’s a wheel bearing

Check cv axel
I had this same exact problem as u described for almost a year now, brought it to the dealer had them inspected and they told me it was rusty brakes (what a joke) so I finally decided to jack up the car and let 4 wheels spin in the air. I discovered that whole brake caliper was wobbling as it spins, so I knew it was a bent cv axel. Problem solved after the replacement axel installed
