Apple CarPlay - best uses?

Apple CarPlay - best uses?
I'm way behind when it comes to C43 tech, but I'm reasonably capable of using my iPhone. From various posts on this forum I sense that I should begin to figure out how to use the CarPlay feature.

So, my questions: Where should I start? What are the two or three best uses for CarPlay?

For me it’s getting Waze on the screen. Other than that I don’t use CarPlay for anything else.

I've heard music sounds better with the cord compared to bluetooth.

I primarily use it for Waze, other than that using Siri for messages, phone calls or some Siri Shortcuts - works great.
