New to Performance Tuning
Hello everyone,
So I am thinking of doing a flash Stage 2 eurocharge tune to my 2016 C450 to give it that extra boost but I am a rookie at this and had some questions!
(I am aware it voids warrenty)
- Does doing the tune affect the car in any way in the future (engine,transmission,etc issues)?
- Does it help in making the burbles and pops louder or is it just the speed that you notice the difference in?
- Is it worth getting it done?

If you are going with a stage 2 tune, you will also need downpipes. As it pertains to the “burble tune,” it is a matter of preference. That said, I think it makes the car sound like trash. In theory, more power / higher boost levels will increase wear on the engine and transmission (and related components). However, Mercedes seems to over-engineer their cars, and as such, it seems that the cars handle increased power well. I am not aware of an instance of catastrophic engine or transmission failure due to a flash tune or piggyback tune (though the internet is a big place). Have fun!
