Horsepower / Torque numbers from Comand "Engine Info screen" with Renntech tune
Hello all,
I recently got the hand held tuner from Renntech for my 2017 C43. They advertise 416 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque with the upgrade.
I just took my car outside and did a brief run, with my Comand screen set to the Engine Info page, to see if the upgraded HP and Torque numbers would show up. Unfortunately, it's not showing anything more than ~370, though I'm not sure if it was the HP or the torque.
Does anyone know if this Engine Info page shows Crank Horsepower or Wheel Horsepower?
Another point to consider: it was 95 degrees F outside when I did this test...is it possible that the engine is downgrading itself due to the high temperature?
I just want to be sure that I'm getting the performance I paid for, any insight into this would be appreciated, especially from people with the Renntech tune.

This is interesting, as my friend had a BMW M4 with a piggy back tune, and the onboard HP / Torque numbers seemed to correspond to the increase in power (ie Horsepower reading was over 500, etc).

"Seemed" =/= reality. The HP/TQ gauges in either car is programmed to put the needle on the dial where power should be based on throttle/rpm/speed/etc. and are purely for show. IIRC, the digital dial on the M4 caps at 480 and isn't exactly precise in it's design (minimal/extremely tight hash marks). No such real-time power measurement tool is baked in a car like you're thinking...
