What is the recommended AMG break in guidance? Is it basically don't floor it till 1k miles? =)
I haven't picked up the car yet so do not have a manual.

Now, if you OWN the car, I would definitely just get the oil changed out after 2,000 miles. There are different opinions everywhere on the internet, but I would follow the user manual simply because they can't void your warranty if something breaks.

Here you go:
Also, take note of the "Notes on the locking differential" portion as well. By default, Mercedes dealerships will say that you need to get your vehicle serviced every year or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, it clearly shows here that after 2,000 miles, the oil in the locking differential should be changed. If you are leasing the car, then whatever, who cares. Just do the minimum amount of services needed to save some money since you're returning the car after 3 years and the locking differential should not have any issues after just 3 years.

The break-in sticker wasn't on my car either. Apparently some C43 and C63 has it, and it pretty much tells you to take it easy the first 1,000 miles, pretty much same as what the user manual states. I am very sure that if you somehow blow your engine or something expensive breaks, they will pull the logs and try to fault you if they see like 50 redlines during the first 1,000 miles. However, I am sure they have to also prove that it was due to driving hard during the break-in period that caused the mishap...
