I'm still breaking in my 2020 C43 but after about 900km, my drive to and from work today, all city, average 10 L/100km. That's insane! Normal driving in comfort mode. My acceleration was on par with all the drivers on the road. Seems like the car becoming more efficient.
I believe the break in period is very important and I followed it to the T. Seems like if you break in your engine properly when new, it perform better and become more efficient.
When I reach 1500km, I will experiment with Sport and Sport +, also highway driving. I broke in my 2018 GLC 300 the same way and it normally sip about 20% less fuel in city driving from what MB posted for the car.
