Under 4 seconds 0-60 stock

I just saw this video of someone in a stock C43 getting under 4 seconds 0-60 time. Needless to say, this would mean that the official 4.5 seconds time posted on the Mercedes website is probably from smashing the throttle because the car doesn't have an official launch control setting. It looks like brake boosting from a stop to about 50% boost then letting go actually gets you under 4 seconds. Of course, there may be other factors involved such as very low elevation, and hopefully this run was not at a slight downhill but dang.

Benz over speed your speedometer by 5 to 10% from factory. Check your speed through a speed trap going the speed limit and you will see you are actually going slower then what says on your speedometer.

Better for the guy in the video doing his run on proper dragstrip or using draggy or vbox.

It can be up to 10%? That's huge...practically 6mph if you're at 60mph.

Very impressive if the measurement is accurate. I've struggled to do under 4.3 on my stage 1 eurocharged c450 which has more power.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure how legit the video is. I just thought it was impressive if everything was accurate, but like stockbmw stated, our speedometer may not be all that accurate. I'm not sure why it would be as much as 10% off though.

Interesting on the speedometer bit. Will have to see some comparisons to dragy measurements.

First of all , the in car speedo reads afew mph high.
Using the dragy gps you will show how there greater margin of error in the speedo. Measuring 0-60 off the speedo is not accurate. Also its likely to be downhill.

Track pace is definitely VERY optimistic. You can hear the driver say he's gotten as low as 3.78. It's a fun tool, but not an accurate one. Dragy is probably your most accurate 0-60 measure, unless you work for a magazine and have access to better test equipment. Time to distance is still going to be best measured at the track, but Dragy is still incredibly close even on that.

He may well be making his runs on a downhill grade. Not necessarily intentionally. That's one of the things that's good about Dragy, it also shows the uphill or downhill grade.
