Confirmed Kerbweights for different body styles & performance variation

Some facts straight from Daimler ( ie so they can't really be argued) that you may find interesting re weights of Saloon, Estate and Coupe. ( C43)

*DIN weight : wet with 90% fuel , no driver
EU/ EG EC weight : wet with 90% fuel and 75kg driver.*

Saloon : DIN : 1630KG
EU : 1705 KG
Estate : DIN : 1685 KG
EU : 1760KG
Coupe : DIN : 1675KG
EU : 1750 KG

Interesting that the Saloon is 55 kg (small adult) lighter than the Estate, but Coupe is only 10 KG lighter ( but NOT heavier than the Estate as some people said)

We must also take into account Drag Coeffient for the models; ( Cd)
Saloon and Coupe : 0.24
Estate : 0.28
( source AutoBild de)

This extra weight & Drag is enough for the Estate in stock form to have 0.1 slower 0-100 kph quoted by Mercedes, and 0.6MPG worse fuel consumption ( see pics).
As we know 0.1 in the 0-100kph can be a 0.3-0.5 sec difference in the 0-200 if it's down to weight and drag as here ( not traction) .

What is the reason for this post?

Firstly it is interesting, secondly they are the facts behind my comment ..." the times for my Wagon are impressive given that it is heavier and less aerodynamic" ( ie than saloon and coupe) which some people tried to say I was making up.
