Winter tires
I'm the market for winter tires and have been quoted the following for my car (2017 c43 amg sedan). Thoughts? Also what are the pros/cons of going with the different setups (square vs staggered)? I currently have a square setup.
225/40R19 - square setup
Bridgestone Blizak LM32 or
Pirelli SottoZero 3
225/40R19 & 255/35R19 - staggered setup
Pirelli SottoZero 3 or
Yokohama Bluearth V905

I had this issue with a prior car (bmw) with staggers.
For winter, I'm going to suggest square 18 inchers....if you are buying rims, more sidewall is better for winter potholes, and you can rotate square setups, unlike staggers. In the winter, whatever benefit you get from a staggered setup will be moot.
I'm wondering if my current 18 inch staggers are better replaced with 18 squares for winter, but as last winter I didn't need snow tires anyway....
