Jb4 not working after service A0 and battery change

Hi folks,
i have a 2017 c43 with a previously flawlessly working jb4 tune.
Needed a new battery and the A0 service done at the dealer. After getting it back, I noticed the car and didn't feel as torque-y as pre-service...another troubling sign was that the auto stop was now turning on, whereas with the working jb4 tune previously it would turn on. I took this as a sign that something's wrong. I pulled out my phone and tried connecting thru the jb4 app and it says device not found.
I checked the obd port and the jb4 connector was plugged into another one port connector before going into the actual obd port...I don't remember installing it like this.
I remove the intermediate connector and pluggef the jb4 directly into the obd port and the app still won't find any device.. I opened the hood and made sure the box is still there and the Bluetooth dongle clear of any metal! Also made sure all the sensor connection still intact.
Obviously the dealership had no idea what I was talking about.
Anyone here familiar with this scenario? Appreciate any thoughts or advice please! So frustrating... Attaching some pics of the intermediate port(red/black wire), I really think the jb4 cable(black wire) plugs directly into the obd port, no? Wondering if the dealership tried to do this or maybe some new ecu update has rendered jb4 nonfunctional?

Thanks.

Yes, your JB4 ODB plug plugs in directly to the car's ODB port plug.

This was the cable connected to the jb4 before it connected to the obd port. It has a fuse on it and I have no idea what this cable is or where it attaches to! Wasn't there before! Not sure what the heck the dealership did to my jb4 tune 😭

What else was added to the OBDII port? Another device?

In any event you can always send the JB4 in if you want us to test it/replace it, just to cover the bases. Address is on our website!
