Waiting for car stuck in Baltimore

Just wondering if anyone else is waiting for their new 2021 C class that is in Baltimore. My C43 was dropped off in Baltimore on November 9th from the onyx ace and has been sitting there since. The dealer has no idea when it's going to arrive. It has been over 8 months since I ordered it. I am starting to lose patience.

Be prepared to wait for a while. This happens every year with the MY change. The cars cannot be delivered to customers until the new model year has been officially released and certified. This always takes longer than it should and probably takes even longer now with people working from home etc. The EPA has to complete the certifications. The first batch of every model year always arrives at the VPC much before they can actually be legally sold. The 2019 models were not released before January, the 2020 if I remember correctly were released sometimes in December. Who knows when the 2021 will be released. Dealer won't be able to tell you either. They'll eventually get an email when specific models are being released. The AMGs always seem to be the last ones to be released.

Thanks. I did notice that the dealer has about 6 2021 c300s and one 2021 c63s in stock. The c300s must have been built in South Africa because the sedans are no longer made in the US. Anyway, thanks for the info. I guess I just need to forget I bought a car and then it'll be a surprise when it shows up.

The real AMG's or the watered down "AMG's"?

As far as I know, cars showing up in dealer inventories aren't necessarily on their lots yet.

Don't really have an answer for that. Based on past observations the regular MB models seem to get released first. I suppose because those are the volume sellers and they have more favorable fuel economy.
