2017 Mercedes C43
WHAT TO BUY: 2020 Mercedes C43 or 2022 Mercedes C53, Coupé
Title says it all. I’m thinking of trading in my 2017 C300 Coupé to the dealer for a new 2020 C43 Coupé.
As more and more news comes online about delay in delivery for coming versions, I’m torn to wait and see what the final design for the upcoming 2022 C43 will look like. Current vehicle has no issues and in no rush to get a new one; dealer is giving me a pretty sweet deal.
ANYTHING WOULD HELP AT THIS POINT. What would you do?

What discount are they offering? I have a 2020 C43 coupe and love it. Sure the new design will probably look really nice but I personally really like how the current 2020 look. With new model comes new reliability issues for the first year or 2.

2019 AMG C43
Also the 2022 C43/53 will in all likelihood be a 4 cylinder...not a 6. I think Mercedes is making a big mistake. If I had a choice between a 4 cylinder C43/C53 and a 6 Cylinder BMW M340i/M440i with that sweet B58 engine….the choice would be very simple.

The w205 c43 engines sounds really good. The new CLA45 with the 4 cylinder hand built can not compare to the C43 V6 in sound.

I would say that the exhaust sounds good, but not the engine. I have driven both PE and non-PE versions and the engine sound of the non-PE sounds very pedestrian, in my opinion. It’s all in the PE exhaust.
