Buying a C43 (2018 or 2019+)
Looking to buy a c43 and I can't decide if I should look into a 2018 model or go for the 2019 and higher. I know there are some cosmetics difference but is there "really" difference in performance?
Also, if anyone is looking to sell let me know!

If you plan to tune the car, I know the tuning potentials are simpler and better on pre-2019 models. Other than that, the 2019 and up has a different 9-speed auto, bigger turbos so a bit more power in stock form. I would not bother going 2019 if you are not going to get the AMG Performance Exhaust and the digital gauge cluster though, cause that's what makes the newer models "better".

PFL205.064 with M276.823 (Oil pump solenoid defeated)
The facelift (MY19+) 205 C-Class itself has 6500 new parts. https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...new-parts.html
The horsepower got a bump from 362 to 385, torque and 0-100 (0-62) stayed the same. I heard the increase is due to bigger turbos from the E43 but that was never proven or at least I didn't come across the proof.
The transmission is smoother and tuned slightly differently compared to pre-facelift so it helps with acceleration. Pre-facelift doesn't downshift to 1st gear in Comfort mode but facelift does. I guess some would say in comfort mode, the car will accelerate more aggressive because of that.
Other performance bits would be improved aerodynamics due to the slight raised lips on the rims. The front bumper left and right vents are now functional too to help cool the brakes and increase aerodynamics.
The damping of the AMG ride control (the adaptive suspension is also tuned differently, the ride is softer but you do expect a stiffer suspension compared to a C300 nonetheless)
Exhaust note wise, it is "slightly" different. North American C43 doesn't have OPF (I heard) so they are are louder in North America. Most likely you will be satisfised with the sound of both vehicles.
MY20 you can option AMG Drive Unit that was brought down from the AMG GT so if you include convenience (efficient way to get everything all set up the way you like when you start the engine as "performance increase", there is that...)
Another type of "performance" would be the "emotion start" where you hold a shift paddle before starting the engine, that increases the dopamine in your brain which helps you focus more on the driving experience and not miss a shift in manual mode therefore increasing performance) (On a side note, you can do the same thing on the pre-facelift, you just need to turn on accessory mode and then put everything in sport+ and exhaust on but remember I mentioned efficiency and convenience? The emotion start is just one paddle away (although it closes the valves afterwards)
Those are the things I could think of, if I remember more ill add.
