JB4 Question - passthru operation?

JB4 Question - passthru operation?
Does anyone know if the obd2 connector is unplugged does the jb4 wwork as a passthru? Meaning will the sensors plugged in under the hood report back normal to the ecu even of the obd2 connector is unplugged and therefore not throw codes?

Not sure of the answer to that, but if you put the JB4 on Map 0, it does act as a pass-through.

The purpose of the OBDII connector is to data log and report information. You can change maps from the app via OBDII and the connect kit with it wired up. If you loaded map 1, then unplugged the OBDII connector, it will remain on Map 1. It will only "pass through" or remain in stock operation if it is plugged in, Map 0 selected, then unplugged. If I understand how it works correctly. I recently installed mine but I do have the OBDII connected. It was the only thing I had to get help with when installing it lol. Had the wife holding the screwdriver while I fed the connector through the grommet from the inside.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. It answers my question, i thought it needed to remain plugged in to the OBD2 port for it to function at all. Didnt realize you could run it unplugged and that the last set map would be what would be running.
