Star Certified extended warrany is it sufficient?
Hey folks,
Looking at closing a deal on a used C43 that includes a star certified warranty. It adds two years or 120,000 coverage on some components.. Is it good? Do you need to top it up?
Thanks!

It depends on how long you are going to keep the car. In my opinion the extended warranty is worth the cost. We've purchased it on all our CPO Mercedes, and we've had three of them, but we keep them longer than the extended warranty lasts.
That being said, the only time I've ever needed the warranty was when one of the front springs broke on one of the cars. The cost to replace the spring was more than the extended warranty cost for two of the cars added together, so it was worth it to us.
There are so much electronics in these cars that can be rather finicky and costly to diagnose and replace.
We're in the process of purchasing a new C43 and we will be getting the two year extended warranty on that as well.
Just my two cents worth. Good luck with your purchase!
