The JB4 has multiple maps that add increasing amounts of horsepower. I don't know that I have seen anyone dyno their car on different map settings. You said earlier in the thread that you were looking for 30 whp, and you can definitely get more than that even in the lowest settings. Map 1 usually runs low 12s. Map 2, another 10th or 2 faster, usually in the 11's. Map 3, a fraction better than that. There are more maps beyond that, but it doesn't seem that you want to go past 3.

Below is a list of the maps, their boost increases, and what BMS says about each. This is their info, not mine:

JB4 Map Guide as of v6 firmware:
Map 0: Disables tuner
Map 1: Up to 4psi over stock peak, suitable for all 91 octane+ fuels
Map 2: Up to 5psi over stock peak, suggested for 93octane+
Map 3: Up to 5.5psi over stock peak, slightly more aggressive version of map2
Map 4: Up to 6psi over stock peak, suggested for E30+ or unleaded race gas mixtures
Map 5: Up to 7psi over stock peak, holding more boost to redline, suggested for E30+ or unleaded race gas mixtures
Map 6: User definable map, boost over stock entered on user adjustment page
Map 7: WMI (water/meth injection) progressive map for BMS FSB integration
Map 8: Low boost VALET map

oh, I see. So I wouldn't be doing any tuning correct? Just plug and play, And get the map of my choosing? Is there a vendor on here? Or where do I purchase?

No tuning required, you choose the map on the fly. Each unit has all of them. With the wireless addon, you can actually choose the map from your phone. Burger Motorsports is the company for it. https://burgertuning.com/

Make sure to not choose a map that you aren't running enough octane for. If you have 93 octane, Maps 1 and 2 should be fine. Ask them about 3, otherwise, use something like boostane if you plan to run map 3. Map 5 should definitely use race gas or a mix of ethanol and 93 pump.

Yes. If you read the description, it provides a lot more functionality than just switching maps from your phone.

Since you already got your car, even without PE you should still be able to enjoy it, once you push it in the high revs, it can still sound pretty good

If you're considering that, go JB4. Yes, it's legit, meaning Racechip, but it's legit in the sense that you get a pony vs. a Clydesdale. There really isn't a comparison. Not in power, not in capability, not in any way.

in aware the jb4 puts out much more power. But I'm worried about stressing the motor over time.

If you are worry about turbo producing 20+ psi, stay stock.

Not worried about the Turbo. Worried about OEM internals, cylinder head lifting,, transmission etc.

So for about a week my map two was running great. However last few passes have actually been slower than stock with hesitant shifts. Contacted Burger motorsports. And they suggest installing the BCM? I was Under the impression all I needed was the JB4 using the right fuel per map . So if the different maps just increase boost. What exactly does the BCM do? I was really excited about trying that 3 with with often booster.
