Unequal Rear Tire Size

Bit of a dumb question here, one of my rear tires has been damaged, and I threw on one of the 225/45R18 winter tires just to have the car on 4 wheels. Is it OK for the 4matic system to drive 20 minutes to the tire shop this way? I would think this diameter difference is no greater than using a compact spare or driving on a flat Runflat. Should I put the matching winter tire on the other side? Probably over thinking this, just never put a spare on a car with AWD and staggered tires.

For such a short drive to the tire shop I do it see how it would be a problem.

No different than using a typical donut spare. Should be fine.

Difference between 225/45R18 and 245/40R18 is 1% diameter. Lower the %, safer for rear left and right to travel. But we don't have positraction to worry about one side spinning out.
