Basic Questions
New to turbo world and wondering if anyone out here could help me out?
2016 c450, what is the max boost when it is bone stock...94 octane being run.
Effect of different downpipes?..Is it an enhancement for turbo operation of just a noise changer?
Anyway I would appreciate any thoughts, don't need anything too cerebral, its just a curiosity..

Most bang for your buck to obtain 50-100hp/tq is getting tuned. Beware few have blown their engine but many have not and their 1/4 mile 0-60 times are great. You do want to get downpipes, intakes, high flow fuel pump etc to get more out of your tune and your engine.

I have drop in filters and stage 1 eurocharged. I'm more than happy with the results. Adding cutless dp with a tune will add some gains but the obnoxious exhaust sound they make isn't worth the trouble IMO. Sounds like trash. But that's just my opinion. Nothing wrong with cold air intakes like BMS or MST intakes but the IAT's (intake temps) do increase some, so hotter climates will feel it more than cooler. If you're looking for 1/4 miles, I believe BMS have the fastest time, but don't quote me. There are other closed intakes coming out soon.
