I'm interested in purchasing a set of new wheels for my 2017 C43 AMG sedan and wanted to get a couple of opinions before I finally pulled the plug. I really like the Rohana RFX5 19 and reached out to their info email address to get their opinion on a proper fitment for my car. Below is what they told me.
"No problem! For the C43 AMG with 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear, you can run 235/40/19 in the front and 275/35/19 for the rear.
Let me know if you have any other questions!"
This seems a bit larger than the stock setup and I just wanted to get some more opinions to make sure this would work. What do you all think about this? Thanks!
Yeah I read through that thread several times before. It's definitely helpful but I guess I just wanted some more opinions since I'm not experienced with finding the proper fitment.
If you're going to lower your car, I suggest going with these specs which i have on my coupe.
F: 19 x 8.5 +32
R: 19 x 9.5 +45
For the 4matic sensors to work properly, it's recommended for the tire diameters f/r not to exceed 3% from OEM. There's also a risk of brake failure if you go over 3%.
Go with a 40 front and 35 rear tread width ratio (same as OEM) to get a higher sidewall height to lessen the risk of wheel damage from potholes or bad roads. If you driive mostly on good roads, you can go with 35f/30r ratio.
The tire size combination I have been using.
F: 235/40R19, diameter: 26.4 in.
R: 265/35R19, diameter: 26.3 in.
OEM diameter f/r is 26.09/26.03 in. The variance from OEM f/r is 1.06%/1.21%. I like this tire size combination because they are the proper sizes for the rim widths. Also, the diameters only differ by 0.1 in. and they are the closest to OEM diameters.
The circumference of the tires is about an inch longer f/r than OEM so my actual speed is 1 mph lower.
I just put a new set of tires on my car. I prefer the tires slightly tucked in so my wheels specs are spot on at the lowered height. 1st 2 pics are my car. The last 2 pics is a sedan with the same wheels specs but I don't know what the tires sizes are.
